For this assignment students worked in small groups to complete a wiki page. Their assignment was to choose a theme they found present in the novel and then find three children's books with the same theme. Then they needed to address the following:
Give book title, author, and copy of book cover.
Write a plot summary for each children's book chosen. (2-4 sentences)
Identify a minimum of 2 effective literary devices in each book. Explain how and why they are effective.
Explain the theme/moral for each book.
Explain explicit connections to TKAM and relevance or insight gained
The wiki page worked well because the students needed less class time to complete the assignment. They could work from home to collaborated and edit their final draft. Also, students had access to the other groups and their work.
